NESHAMA - A Compilation of Women’s Stories
For this book, we wrote 7 short stories and poems exploring aspects of women in spiritual and societal contexts of ancient times. These stories and poems are complimented by the artwork of Jeffrey Suppes, exploring a divine feminine.
MY ROLE
In the spring of 2020, I was searching for a way to commune with and create with other women. We turned to stories, fairy tales, and myths as ways to hold larger discussions around women and their roles in society over the course of history and time.
I created a writing group which met once a week to research, discuss, edit, and write stories about fictional women.
We held two writing groups within the year of 2021. In 2022, I collaborated with a designer and artist on the design of the book. I edited and compiled the stories in InDesign.
